James Drury
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT | BTB COMMITTEE MEMBER
Born in Illinois, Jimmy moved to California in the mid-1980s and now resides in Ventura County with his wife of 20 years and their two daughters. He enjoys spending time outdoors, especially camping, backpacking, and fishing.
Jimmy joined the United States Marine Corps in 1999, serving as an infantry Marine and Primary Marksmanship Instructor. He deployed to Iraq in 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. His desire to continue serving others led him to pursue a career with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, where he has worked as a firefighter and paramedic since 2005.
Service to his country instilled in Jimmy a lifelong commitment to helping others; a commitment that has evolved into serving his local community and fellow veterans. Through the Tributary Foundation, he continues this mission by fostering belonging, healing, and rehabilitation through outdoor experiences and the camaraderie of like-minded individuals.
