Jason Wade Leal served in the United States Marine Corps from 1990 to 1994 before spending ten years as a police officer with the Carlsbad Police Department in Southern California. Throughout his years of service, Jason has witnessed firsthand how many veterans and first responders struggle to access the help they need, and he’s experienced those same challenges himself. That understanding drives his involvement with the Tributary Foundation, where he is dedicated to supporting others who have served and helping them find healing and renewed purpose.

Jason is the owner and operator of Badger X Builders, a construction and government contracting company founded on integrity, precision, and a steadfast commitment to excellence. Outside of work, he finds peace and balance in the outdoors, whether hunting, archery hunting, fly fishing, or scuba diving. He also enjoys expressing creativity through metalwork, fabrication, and woodworking, where craftsmanship becomes a form of mindfulness.

For Jason, being part of the Tributary Foundation is about more than service; it’s about connection, purpose, and helping to build a community where healing and support flow freely for those who need it most.
